Tate was left alone with Tiffany who was being babysat by Tate's mother, Kathleen Grossett-Tate, while she took a nap upstairs. She yelled at them to be quite, thinking that they were just playing. Forty five mins later Lionel told him mother that Tiffany was not breathing.
Tate was 12 years weighing 166 pounds while Tiffany was 6 weighing 46 pounds,
The medical examiner reported that the cause of death was due to stomping on her so hard that her liver lacerated. She had other injuries a fractured skull, fractured rib and swollen brain.
They said ''The injuries are similar to those she would have sustained by falling from a three story building.''
